Great atmosphere, and the coffee’s alright. I think that if the baristas were just a little more well-trained, the place could be fantastic. There is a shortage of good cafés in the outer main line area, and this place could fill that void if it tried just a wee bit harder.

The coffee was really bad. However, it wasn’t the barista’s fault. She did everything fairly fine, but the beans were completely stale.

All three occasions I’ve been here, same barista, who happens to be fantastic (some mad-skillz). This place uses beans from La Colombe, (great beans), and also has really good Panini sandwiches. Pleasant atmosphere, next to Washington Square.

One sip went in, one sip went out, quickly. The atmosphere of the place was quite impressive, very chic. But the coffee was terrible. I’d like to think that everything that could have gone wrong with the drink did—the perfect latte storm. I wouldn’t mind bringing in my own coffee and hanging out in there, though.

COMMENTS

My favorite thing in Philly. Excellent coffee, and professional-grade baristas. Their two cafés have great atmospheres, though it‘s sometimes hard to get a table at the downtown location. They roast their own—five proprietary blends, all of which are superb.
